Nancy Fisher Wilhelms Principal, Director of Marketing and Public Relations

Nancy is an accredited member (APR) of the Public Relations Society of America. She has been a featured speaker at PRSA's annual conference and specialty group conferences. Her creative approaches for clients land them frequently in the national news, and she is as comfortable working with a network crew or national reporter as she is on her bike.

Prior, Nancy served as Press Secretary to Governor Robert List of Nevada, director of communications for Harnischfeger International, a Fortune 500 company, and program director for Milwaukee Summerfest, today the largest music event in the United States. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder, and did post-graduate work at the Rhode Island School of Design. Nancy's photographs have appeared in New York Times, Windsurfing Magazine, Ralph Lauren Magazine, Cowboys & Indians and many more.

Nancy is an avid skier (downhill and XC), biker, swimmer, hiker and yoga enthusiast. She recently rode her bike on a 250+ mile tour of Idaho. Her new passion is surfing waves on her SUP (stand-up paddleboard).

Phedra Loren Graphic Designer

Phedra joined WestGroup’s team in 2001 and works with the team to develop and execute print communication strategies. She previously worked with the Orange County Register and has a deep understanding of newspaper advertising. Phedre has a B.A. from California State University-Long Beach. Named after a Greek goddess, Phedre enjoys world travel.

Clement Michel, account coordinator, has been an associate with WestGroup earlier in his career, in 1994, and most recently re-joined the company in 2008. With a background in project direction and business management, including ten years in print media sales and distribution, Clement possesses essential knowledge and organizational skills to facilitate every client’s tactical needs. His experience working with WestGroup’s clients, ranges Hewlett Packard to development client RimRock at Rifle. He graduated with a BA in Economics from Colorado State University in 1997. If Clem is not out riding local mountains, or in search of waves on the coast, you will most likely find him trying to master his swing and putting skills on area links!

Betsy Furth Writer

Betsy has enjoyed a varied career that has taken her from the concert hall to the keyboard of her beloved MacBook. Trained as a classical musician, she always loved to write and communicate. Since moving to Colorado in the late 1990s, Betsy has utilized her writing and organizational skills, working in the marketing and public relations fields. She has written website, brochure, advertising and press copy for a variety of clients including high-end real estate projects, local arts organizations and start-up businesses and enjoys interacting with designers and print vendors to bring each vision to reality. Betsy holds master’s degrees from the University of Michigan and Vanderbilt University. When she’s not writing, Betsy, a member of the WestGroup team since 2009, is either practicing the cello or hiking in sunny Colorado.

Alana Appleby Social Media Guru

With a background in Sales and Marketing for luxury hotels, Alana now leads WestGroup’s team in online marketing and branding. She works with a hand-selected team of web specialists to strategically create, implement and monitor online marketing products providing enhanced exposure to our client base. Alana’s industry experience includes retail, restaurants, service businesses, start-ups, non-profits and political organizations.

Alana builds custom solutions for each client’s needs. Her specialties include search engine optimization, organic optimization, google analytics, email marketing and social media strategy and applications.

Alana enjoys mountain biking, skiing and all that Aspen’s Roaring Fork Valley has to offer with her husband and two tow-headed boys.
